Happiness Guarantee:
We offer a Happiness Guarantee, allowing full refunds for certain situations regardless of the class’s specific policy. You can request a refund by contacting us at [email address removed] or through the Help section on the FiveOwls website.
Full Refunds:
- Within 24 Hours of Purchase: You’ll receive a full refund if you withdraw from any class type within 24 hours of enrolling. This applies until the class starts; after that, the class-specific policy takes effect.
- Recurring Group Classes: A full refund for the most recent payment is available if you end your enrollment within 24 hours of automatic renewal. This also applies until the next class meeting.
- 1-on-1 Classes: Families receive a refund for meetings canceled within 24 hours of auto-renewal.
- Groups: A full refund is available within 24 hours of purchase for Groups. You can also receive a refund for the current month’s subscription within 24 hours of renewal.
- Teacher Cancellation: A full refund is provided if the teacher cancels before the first class meeting.
- Teacher Absence: You can request a full refund or wait for a reschedule if the teacher misses a one-time class meeting.
- Schedule Changes: If the teacher changes the date or time before the class starts, you can request a full refund.
Prorated Refunds:
These situations warrant a prorated refund based on attended meetings (contact [email address removed]):
- Class Reschedule: If part of the class is rescheduled, you might be eligible for a prorated refund for missed meetings.
- Incomplete Class: You might receive a prorated refund if the teacher doesn’t deliver all the promised meetings.
- Teacher Cancellation During Class: You will receive a prorated refund based on the percentage of canceled meetings.
Additional Policies:
- Missed Meetings: Refunds won’t be issued for learner absences. Missing 3 consecutive meetings without notifying the teacher may result in class fee forfeiture and potential withdrawal. Teachers can offer alternatives like transferring you to another section or providing recordings, at their discretion.
- Late Learners: If your learner joins the meeting more than 10 minutes after the start time, the teacher may cancel it. This is considered a missed meeting, and no refund will be issued.
- Schedule Conflicts: Refunds aren’t guaranteed for missed classes due to schedule conflicts (dependent on class-specific policy).
- Transfers: Teachers may transfer you to another section of the same class with your consent.
- Daylight Saving Time: Schedule changes due to daylight saving time are not grounds for a refund. Please review your learner’s schedule carefully.
- Donations: Donations made on FiveOwls are non-refundable.
- Excessive Refund Requests: Repeated refund requests may disqualify you from receiving future refunds.
